What is Dengue?

डेंगू एक Vector Borne Viral Disease है, जो मुख्य रूप से Female Aedes aegypti मच्छर द्वारा फैलती है। यह मच्छर सामान्यतः दिन के समय काटता है तथा साफ पानी में प्रजनन करता है। भारत में शहरीकरण, जलभराव, बढ़ता तापमान तथा Climate Change के कारण डेंगू के मामलों में लगातार वृद्धि देखी जा रही है।

How Does Dengue Spread?

How Does the Vaccine Work?

Qdenga (TAK-003) एक Live Attenuated Tetravalent Vaccine है। इसमें वायरस को पूरी तरह समाप्त नहीं किया जाता बल्कि इतना कमजोर (Attenuated) बनाया जाता है कि वह बीमारी उत्पन्न न करे, लेकिन शरीर की प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली (Immune System) को सक्रिय कर दे।

इस प्रक्रिया के बाद शरीर Antibodies तथा Memory Cells विकसित करता है। भविष्य में वास्तविक Dengue Virus के संक्रमण की स्थिति में यही प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली तेजी से प्रतिक्रिया देकर रोग की गंभीरता को कम करती है।

Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) एक ऐसी Long Duration Energy Storage Technology है जिसमें अतिरिक्त (Excess) बिजली का उपयोग करके हवा (Air) को अत्यधिक दबाव (High Pressure) पर संपीड़ित (Compress) किया जाता है। इस संपीड़ित हवा को भूमिगत गुफाओं (Underground Caverns), नमक की खानों (Salt Caverns) या विशेष दबाव टैंकों में संग्रहित किया जाता है।

जब बिजली की मांग बढ़ती है, तब इस संग्रहित हवा को बाहर निकालकर Turbine से गुजारा जाता है, जिससे Generator घूमता है और पुनः बिजली उत्पन्न होती है। इस प्रकार CAES Renewable Energy की अनियमितता को संतुलित करने में सहायता करता है।
